<p>About the Position: This position is located at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center, Director for DMS, Department of Family Medicine at Fort Belvoir, VA. Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 0730-1630 This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide primary health care on a routine and emergency basis to eligible beneficiaries enrolled in services.</p><p>Diagnose acute and chronic illnesses.</p><p>Develop treatment plans.</p><p>Evaluate diagnostic studies.</p><p>Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within authorized privileges.</p><p>Coordinate patient care with other team members including nursing, clerical, pharmacy, social worker, etc.</p><p>Participate in daily huddles with the team staff.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
