<p>About the Position: This position is located with the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Occupational Medicine, in San Diego California. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service Advanced Leave may be authorized, based on a determination that it is in the best interest of the Government.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform a variety of professional direct health care clinic duties within the field of Occupational Medicine in support of the Medical Readiness.</p><p>Perform health assessments, deployment health assessment, separation physicals, commissioning physicals and retirement physicals.</p><p>Gather health and medical history from the patient or family member to record findings.</p><p>Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other procedures to complete assessment of the patient.</p><p>Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders and injuries.</p><p>Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients and their family members of treatment and medical care.</p><h3>Education</h3>Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
