Physician Assistant

<p>About the Position: The Physician Assistant position is located on Fort Lee, Virginia and serves in a Primary Health Care Clinic (e.g., Family Practice Clinic, Active Duty Clinic, Troop Medical Clinic, or Physical Exam Clinic) or in specialty clinics. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Performs a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties.</p><p>Assesses, plans, evaluates, and modifies the plan of acute and chronically ill patients.</p><p>Exercises autonomy in determining the necessary medical care.</p><p>Provides consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients regarding treatment and medical care.</p><p>Coordinates with patients regarding physicians' findings and diagnoses, laboratory results, follow-up treatment plan or the effect of medications prescribed in accordance with approved protocols.</p><p>Refers high-risk, unstable, or extremely complex patients to the physicians and emergency medicine.</p><p>Performs emergency care as appropriate.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
