Physician Assistant (Occupational Health)

<p>About the Position: This position is located with the Naval Health Clinic Bangor, Occupational Medicine in Bremerton, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Evaluate individuals with disabilities to determine if they can perform the essential job functions and make recommendation for reasonable accommodations.</p><p>Conduct a comprehensive occupational medical surveillance examinations based on the real and potential health hazards encountered in the workplace.</p><p>Provide evaluation and treatment for work related injuries or refer injured person to the appropriate medical treatment facility or health care provider as needed.</p><p>Maintain liaison with health care providers to ensure proper placement of individuals in positions compatible with their physical capabilities.</p><p>Participate in conducting classes, attend safety/environment of care meetings, and provide occupational health guidance within organizations and activities.</p><p>Assist Physician or Department Head with writing, implementing, and updating standing operating procedures and medical protocols for elements within Occupational Health Program.</p><p>Implement and administer regulations governing the safeguarding of protected health information.</p><h3>Education</h3>Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
