ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>This position is located at York County VA Clinic in York, PA. The Physician Assistant will be required to travel to Lebanon VAMC in Lebanon, PA to provide coverage (on planned rotational schedule) within Behavioral Health & Services.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Medical/Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA-III) manages comprehensive medical/psychiatric care for a panel of patients Behavioral Health and Sciences(BH&S) including inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. These functions are provided under the clinical oversight of the respective collaborating/supervising physician (for medical and psychiatric care as well). The incumbent develops care plans and mental health professionals throughout Lebanon VA Medical Center's spectrum of services. Incumbent establishes and maintains relationships within the medical center and other specialties that result in improved patient care. Incumbent accepts substantial and continuing responsibility and accountability for planning, coordinating, and controlling a complex integrated health care practice. In this capacity s/he is part of the behavioral health interdisciplinary teams. Psychiatric care is provided for routine, urgent and emergent patients with multiple and complex medical problems. The incumbent is responsible to provide comprehensive psychiatric care and meet bio psycho-social aspects of patient care management. The incumbent provides full diagnostic assessments and other clinical duties as deemed necessary. The incumbent collaborates with professionals throughout the medical center to make sure all aspects of care are coordinated. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Rotational weekday, weekends, and holiday coverage at Lebanon VAMC required. Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
