Physician (Allergy and Immunology)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as an Allergy-Immunology (A/I) Specialist responsible for diagnosis and treatment of a full range of allergy-immunology patients at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).</p><p>Provide consultative support to inpatient and outpatient physicians on treatment of patients who have allergic/immunological diseases.</p><p>Responsible for ordering and technical supervision of allergy immunotherapy, treatment of adverse reactions to immunotherapy/immunizations, drug challenges, drug desensitization, food challenges, and rush venom immunotherapy.</p><p>Oversee pulmonary function testing, epicutaneous and intradermal skin testing.</p><p>Review cases for service connected separation.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
