Physical Therapy Assistant

<p>About the Position: Serves as Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at the Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Performs a wide range of complex PTA duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and data collection to perform specific aspects of evaluations and interventions. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Relocation and Recruitment incentives MAY be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Recommend various modalities of physical therapy, as prescribed, to include diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electrotherapy, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise.</p><p>Ensure treatment plan is designed to maximize results in promotion of healing and pain relief while ultimately improving the patient’s functional independence.</p><p>Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to make recommendations for the patient’s rehabilitation and reintegration needs.</p><p>Attend pertinent meetings as requested by the supervisory therapist and/or clinic director.</p><p>Maintain treatment areas, administrative area, and personal spaces in a safe, orderly manner.</p><p>Perform administrative duties as required, including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling, and template management.</p><p>Assist supervisor in making decisions relative to administrative responsibilities in the areas of supply, equipment and personnel.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
