Physical Therapist

<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD. About the Position: Position is located at an outpatient physical therapy clinic on Naval Air Station Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida but can be moved to a different clinic based on patient demand. Duty/Work hours will be from 0700-1530 M-F.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Performs a wide range of complex physical therapy duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and data collection.</p><p>Responsibilities include providing evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members with needs concerned with, but not limited to, physical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal extremity injury, etc</p><p>Uses appropriate screening and diagnostic tests which may include ordering radiographic and laboratory studies; prescribing limited medications, i.e., anti-inflammatories.</p><p>Incorporates psychosocial and environmental factors that contribute to the impact of injury or illness on daily functional capabilities.</p><p>Attends and participates in professional conferences and educational seminars, in-house training and continuing education meetings within the physical therapy and the orthopedic departments.</p><p>Supports the patient education activities of the physical therapy clinic through the presentation of various lectures and/or provision of consultation as the subject matter expert on topics related to physical therapy.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
