ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>About the Position: This position is located at the 55th Medical Group, Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Fill prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals to include controlled drugs.</p><p>Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed in accordance with pharmacy standing operating procedures.</p><p>Maintain pharmacy records, files, and administrative reports on drugs, adverse reactions, patient allergies, errors, inventory, transactions, and provider/patient files.</p><p>Communicate with patients on proper use of medication and to obtain medication history.</p><p>Advise prescriber or pharmacist on issues or problems with dosing, interactions, side effects, or instructions.</p><p>Operate pharmacy equipment to fill and label prescriptions.</p><p>Conduct maintenance on pharmacy equipment to avoid malfunctions.</p><p>Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and other supplies utilizing appropriate stock storage, conditions, and procedures.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
