Pharmacy Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Naval Health Clinic New England, Newport, Rhode Island A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed.</p><p>Receive, review, prepare, fill, and dispense physician orders for prescriptions.</p><p>Enter prescriptions into outpatient computer system.</p><p>Obtain the pharmaceutical, prepare package labels, and set up for review.</p><p>Provide customer service to patients and staff.</p><p>Take steps to rectify discrepancies as they are found.</p><p>Maintain and clean assigned medication filling and dispensing stations.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
