Pharmacy Technician

<p>About the Position: Serves as a Pharmacy Technician performing duties in support of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and its geographic area of responsibility. This position is located with the Fox Army Health Center SSO Stand-Alone MTF Redstone Arsenal, AL. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Receive prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals to include controlled drugs on the formulary.</p><p>Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed in accordance with accepted practice and pharmacy standard operating procedures.</p><p>Enter prescriptions into outpatient computer system.</p><p>Coordinate with prescriber or pharmacist to clarify issues or problems with dosing, interactions, or instructions.</p><p>Fill and label pharmaceutical medication.</p><p>Dispense pharmaceutical medication to customers.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
