<p>About the Position: This position is located at Fort Wainwright, Alaska A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Receive, read, and interpret prescriptions for outpatients written by Medical generalists.</p><p>Counsel patients regarding their prescribed medications.</p><p>Dispense pharmaceuticals to outpatients.</p><p>Compound, prepare, or select and label prescribed drugs and pharmaceuticals from available stocks to provide the required therapeutic agent.</p><p>Assess equipment and supply needs in coordination with the officer-in-charge and programs purchases within budgetary constraints.</p><p>Manage, administer, and oversee pharmacy operations within the health clinic.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
