Pharmacist

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Analyzes patterns and trends to determine appropriate, effective, and economical prescribing and dispensing of drugs.</p><p>Serve on a variety of committees, boards, and other bodies representing the pharmacy specialty and providing authoritative input on pharmacy related matters.</p><p>Monitor the dispensing of pharmaceuticals in the Military Treatment and allied facilities.</p><p>Evaluate and prepare reports on the impact of alternative drug therapies employing pharmacoeconomic tools such as cost-benefit analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-utility analysis, or cost-minimization analysis.</p><p>Participate in, conduct, or monitor studies involving pharmaceuticals and pharmacy related issues.</p><p>Prepare or conduct training of physicians, pharmacists, and other health care providers on the cost-effective use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.</p><p>Recommend or initiate changes and updates to instructions, regulations and other guidance as needed.</p><p>Serve as an expert on pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics, drug use evaluations, and pharmacotherapeutics for the Military Treatment Facility.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
