<p>The Pharmacy Program Manager, Informatics is responsible for coordinating and managing all functions and activities related to Pharmacy networked computer applications and core technology systems related to the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center and outlying clinics.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major duties include, but not limited to: Provides administrative, technical, analytical and automated data processing (ADP) support to Pharmacy Service. Evaluates current information management procedures and practices to determine how effectively current goals are being met and how services could be improved through changes in automation Collaborates with and serves as a liaison between Pharmacy Service and Office of Information and Technology, Informatics, and Biomed, and ADP coordinators from other services. Serves as Subject Matter Expert in pharmacy informatics on local committees that are involved in technologies and informatics which impact pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services. Establishes and maintains record keeping systems to ensure accuracy of data input and output. Manages user access requests for personnel within the VA Medical facility Pharmacy Service systems through tools such as Electronic Permission Access System (ePAS). Directing training for new pharmacy users and participating in new health care provider training. Performs other duties as assigned. Must pass pre-employment physical examination. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
