Optometrist (Clinical)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at EVANS Army Community Hospital Ophthalmology Service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Examine, diagnose, manage, and treat a full range of eye and visual problems and ocular disease.</p><p>Perform comprehensive and limited visual and ocular examination of all types of patient.</p><p>Diagnose and treats any visual anomaly and specified pathologic conditions of the ocular adnexa and the eye.</p><p>Perform medical profiling within specialty of basic trainees and other service member.</p><p>Evaluate and perform all necessary tests that deal with the eye portion of all types of physical exam.</p><p>Preoperative consultations and postoperative co-management in ophthalmology patients to include cataract, and refractive surgery.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
