Occupational Therapist (Holistic Health and Fitness)

<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Training and Doctrine Command, 30th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Fires Center of Excellence (FCOE), Fort Sill, Oklahoma</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to maximize Solder performance and improve unit readiness.</p><p>Develop programs to optimize performance behaviors or mitigate injury risk.</p><p>Perform formal and informal evaluations in the various areas, such as physical, psychological, cognitive, activities of daily living (ADLs), functional and adaptive skills, and work and occupational role performance.</p><p>Plan, coordinate, and implement goal-oriented group and/or behavioral-focused individual treatment programs.</p><p>Apply the use of therapeutic modalities and new integrative techniques and technologies.</p><p>Participate on an interdisciplinary team to coordinate the rehabilitation or wellness activities for individual Soldiers or groups of Soldiers with the brigade.</p><p>Educate on the injury/disease process and its effect on function, joint protection, energy conservation, ergonomic needs, work simplification, and cognitive compensatory techniques.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
