Occupational Therapist (Holistic Health and Fitness)

<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This announcement is for an Occupational Therapist (Holistic Health and Fitness) position located at U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, Sustainment Center of Excellence, U.S. Army Quartermaster School, 23rd Quartermaster Brigade, Fort Lee, Virginia.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to maximize Solder performance and improve unit readiness.</p><p>Develop programs to optimize performance behaviors or mitigate injury risk.</p><p>Perform formal and informal evaluations in the various areas, such as physical, psychological, cognitive, activities of daily living (ADLs), functional and adaptive skills, and work and occupational role performance.</p><p>Plan, coordinate, and implement goal-oriented group and/or behavioral-focused individual treatment programs.</p><p>Apply the use of therapeutic modalities and new integrative techniques and technologies.</p><p>Participate on an interdisciplinary team to coordinate the rehabilitation or wellness activities for individual Soldiers or groups of Soldiers with the brigade.</p><p>Educate on the injury/disease process and its effect on function, joint protection, energy conservation, ergonomic needs, work simplification, and cognitive compensatory techniques.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
