ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>This position is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) within the Directorate of Technical Support and Emergency Management (DTSEM), in the Office of Occupational Medicine and Nursing (OOMN), located in Washington, D.C. This position is at the full performance level. This position is inside the bargaining unit. This position is NOT remote. Selectee will be expected to report to the office above.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties of the Nurse Practitioner include, but are not limited to: Serving as a staff expert, technical authority and direct consultant concerning broad occupational health matters with special expertise in occupational health nursing. Drafting OSHA compliance assistance guidance, training materials, letters of interpretation, and technical resources. Supporting OOMN's enforcement support work, including reviewing cases and other Directorate activities, including reviewing policy documents and making appropriate recommendations. Evaluating, planning, and conducting process improvement, program analysis, studies and special projects that support OSHA. Providing technical assistance and training to OSHA's National Office and regional offices, individuals, other federal and state agencies and non-governmental organizations.</p><h3>Education</h3>Any applicant falsely claiming an academic degree from an accredited school will be subject to actions ranging from disqualification from federal employment to removal from federal service. If your education was completed at a foreign college or university, you must show comparability to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States and comparability to applicable minimum coursework requirements for this position.
