<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>This Position may be filled by a Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner. For more information, refer to Required Documents below. Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Manage medical care for a panel of Veterans enrolled in Primary Care. Timely entry and use of the electronic medical record system for documentation, workload capture, alert management, and for review of Veterans' current and future medical care needs. Serve as the leader of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). Cross-cover for other medical providers as needed throughout the health care system. Work in collaboration with PACT members to ensure the overall safety and quality of each Veteran's care. Responsible for all performance metrics related to patient quality of care. Responsible for positive customer service in all aspects of care. Participate in quality improvement, quality assurance, continuous survey readiness, and committee/work groups in collaboration with others. Maintain licensures and certifications requisite for credentials and privileges at the OKC VAHCS. Meet ethical and professional standards as written in the Medical Staff Bylaws and ensure that work relations are in compliance with facility standards and expectations as written and communicated. Driving and travel for Primary Care patient care coverage purposes will be required for this position to clinics throughout the health care system. Driving and travel may be up to 75% of the time.
