Nurse (Operating Room)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell, TN. - A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. - Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Preforms pre-operative assessment of patients, including verification of medical history, allergies, consent, and readiness for surgery.</p><p>Ensures proper patient identification and implementing safety protocols such as time-out procedures.</p><p>Prepares operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies for the scheduled procedure.</p><p>Serves as a circulating nurse, managing the overall environment of the Operation Room, supporting the surgical team, and maintaining patient safety.</p><p>Monitors patient’s condition throughout the surgery and responding promptly to any changes or emergencies</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
