Nurse (Operating Room)

<p>About the Position: This position is with the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide perioperative nursing care in a multi-service operating room providing a full range of surgical nursing services supporting complex and extensive surgical procedures.</p><p>Operate and assists in the care and handling of a variety of supplies and highly specialized equipment.</p><p>Assist physician with examination, as well as treatment prior to, during, and following invasive procedures.</p><p>Coordinate with physicians and other staff, preoperatively, to develop a multi-disciplinary, intra-operative plan of care.</p><p>Teach staff, patient, and family regarding pre- and post-operative care and procedures.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: See Qualifications Section for education requirements.
