ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>About the Position: This position is located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Plans, develops, and manages a comprehensive Occupational Health services program, ensuring compliance with regulations from OSHA, DoD, and other governing bodies.</p><p>Provides direct nursing care for occupational injuries and illnesses, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.</p><p>Recognize hazardous exposures (chemical, physical, biological), initiating appropriate treatment or referral, and conducting various physical examinations.</p><p>Act as a technical expert and resource for managers, employees, and other healthcare providers on occupational health issues.</p><p>Provide consultation, guidance, and training to nurses, safety officers, and other personnel.</p><p>Performs and oversees worksite visits, independently or with a team, to evaluate health hazards, work practices, and the use of protective equipment.</p><p>Analyze findings to identify trends and recommend controls to mitigate risks.</p><p>Develop and implement preventative services and health programs for employees, including wellness initiatives, medical surveillance, and guidance on healthy lifestyles to prevent injury and illness.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: See Qualifications section for education requirements.
