Nurse (Intensive Care Unit)

<p>About the Position: This position is with Defense Health Agency, Progressive Care Unit located at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center, fort Gordon, GA. This position serves as Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse, using evidenced-based practice and systematic critical thinking to guide data gathering, nursing judgement, intervention, and evaluation of the human response to actual and potential health problems. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to critically ill patients in an Adult Intensive Care Unit.</p><p>Assist physicians with complex or life-threatening procedures.</p><p>Monitor patient's condition by continuous observation and precise calculation of fluid levels and vital signs.</p><p>Mix and administer special, potent and lethal drugs.</p><p>Maintain a safe environment for patients and all other hospital employees.</p><p>Develop and implement a Plan of Care for each patient consistent with recognized professional nursing standards.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
