ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>About the Position: Serve as Nurse (Critical Care) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA), North Carolina Coast Market, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Incentives may be authorized. Advanced in-hire rate may be authorized. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Apply advanced assessment skills to identify difficult patient care problems, formulate complex plans, and continually revise goals and objectives according to changes in patient status.</p><p>Administer oxygen therapy and utilize intensive pulmonary care techniques as needed.</p><p>Respond decisively to life-threatening changes in the patient’s condition and provide appropriate emergency measures.</p><p>Administer a wide variety of rapid-acting, highly potent medications according to unit policies, procedures, and protocols.</p><p>Closely monitor patient response and adjust therapy accordingly.</p><p>Manage ventilators for critically ill patients.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
