Nurse (Clinical/Med-Surg)

<p>About the Position: This position is located William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Manages the care of patient with complex and multifaceted medical and surgical needs.</p><p>Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for high-risk patients.</p><p>Ensures documentation is thorough, accurate, and meets regulatory and organizational standards.</p><p>Provides leadership within the unit, mentoring junior nursing staff and serving as a resource for complex clinical situations.</p><p>Administers and monitors the use of therapeutic agents (medications) and pain-reliving drugs including narcotics and antibiotics, familiar with correct dosages and potential side effects.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
