Nurse (Clinical/Med-Surg)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital, Directorate of Nursing, Mixed Medical Surgical Unit with Pediatrics at Fort Carson, CO 80906. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Manage the care of patients with complex and multifaceted medical and surgical needs.</p><p>Ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and meets regulatory and organizational standards.</p><p>Administer oxygen, IV fluid, blood transfusion and prescribed oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications, as prescribed.</p><p>Recognize significant and life-threatening changes in patient condition, including changes in cardiac rhythm evidenced by telemetry, and determine and implement the proper emergency life saving measures in accordance with the level of certification.</p><p>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for high-risk patients.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
