Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a clinical nurse performing a variety of professional nursing and health services to patients of all ages. Work hour shifts range from 8 to 12 hours shifts and may range from 0700-1900, 1100-2300. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Interview and takes medical histories, to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient.</p><p>Perform triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements.</p><p>Observe, monitor, and assess patient's condition.</p><p>Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.</p><p>Conduct and participate in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of facility, departmental, or unit-based programs.</p><p>Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.</p><p>Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis and determines staffing requirement and effectively directs patient care and unit activity.</p><p>Independently react to emergencies, collaborate with physicians, make changes to nursing care plans and implement nursing care plans accordingly.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
