<p>Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (1-5 yrs) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties include, but are not limited to: providing competent, evidence-based care to patients assisting in direction the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation possessing intimate knowledge of the internal referral care process, clinical review criteria, utilization management standards, clinical documentation requirements, consult management, community care regulations, and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) standards and guidelines applying nursing knowledge and systems theory to assess, organize, and determine care avenues including internal/direct care in Veterans Affairs (VA) and community care clinically triaging incoming referrals and Request for Services (RFS) to confirm appropriate care is requested, necessary pre-work and tests are completed, and to promote VA services utilizing delegation of authority to function at their highest level of role performance and align high-quality care with key performance indicators to ensure business practice standards meet patient care needs serving as a liaison to both internal and community providers and is responsible for care coordination throughout the episode of care to ensure seamless transition to and from the community VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory Work Schedule: Full time.
