Nurse (Ambulatory Care)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive professional nursing care in a clinic setting through face-to-face encounters or via telecommunications technology.</p><p>Perform nursing triage to determine the appropriate level of care.</p><p>Assess and manage acute and episodic healthcare concerns.</p><p>Perform procedures such as visual acuity tests, glucose monitoring, wound care, etc.</p><p>Utilize analytical thinking and critical decision making prior to treatment based on knowledge of effects and current condition of the patient.</p><p>Provide pre- and post-procedural education.</p><p>Provide health education to patients and/or family members/caregivers.</p><p>Provide oversight and mentorship to paraprofessional and newly assigned staff.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
