<p>About the Position: This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Conduct clinical management and initial assessment of patient referrals to determine medical necessity and appropriate level of care.</p><p>Document and track referral information to conduct management reviews and analysis of clinical and cost-related data.</p><p>Orient and collaborate with providers and other healthcare team members to support managed care principles and practices.</p><p>Advise providers on the development of referral programs to promote wellness, manage disease, and control medical costs.</p><p>Perform data analysis and optimization management for specialty care referrals to ensure service efficiency and proper care.</p><p>Serves as a liaison between the Managed Care Support Contract company, clinic providers, and patients to resolve issues.</p><p>Orient and educate providers and clinical staff on referral management processes, managed care principles, and cost-effective care.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements
