Medical Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is located at 10TH Medical Group Air Force Academy, Colorado This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Verify proper patient preparation for tests requested by the provider, e.g., fasting, special diet, medications, etc., as well as appropriate sample collection procedure and sample transport requirements.</p><p>Collect blood samples from inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients using aseptic techniques.</p><p>Collect body fluid and other samples for testing.</p><p>Receive and interpret laboratory request slips and reviews them for required information.</p><p>Utilize safety and infection control practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
