Medical Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Recruitment incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Routinely perform tests of difficult and complex nature routinely.</p><p>Perform start up and shut down procedures.</p><p>Perform daily (or as required) quality control procedures for ensuring the acceptability of all testing systems.</p><p>Evaluate control data to ensure the results are within acceptable norms.</p><p>Perform a wide variety of testing in the areas of STAT/routine hematology, coagulation, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, immunoassays, Blood Bank or microbiology testing.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
