<p>About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Works under the general supervision of the Pathology Support Services Supervisor who provides initial guidance on area of responsibility and priorities.</p><p>Independently performs a wide variety of specimen collection, processing and shipping in accordance with the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturer's instructions and technical references.</p><p>Receives and processes specimens from all areas within Madigan Army Medical Center, Decentralized Labs, other DoD Laboratories and contracted civilian health care providers.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
