Medical Records Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is with Reynolds Army Health Clinic located at Fort Sill, OK. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available to candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Determine validity of request and authority of release for information.</p><p>Maintain control logs for tracking status of requests and other pertinent information.</p><p>Review medical records in order to abstract only information that provide direct response to request.</p><p>Prepare response to inquiries and ensures only relevant factual information is released.</p><p>Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties in support of the unit.</p><p>Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) to query patient treatment, eligibility, location of records and request information from other record holding areas.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
