MEDICAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN

<p>About the Position: This position is located within the Naval Health Clinic, Directorate of Administration, Oak Harbor, Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Screen medical records for internal consistency and compliance with pertinent regulations.</p><p>Perform qualify reviews on records checking for accurate filing of documents.</p><p>Verify beneficiary eligibility of care by verification of identification card and prepare certificates of eligibility using established templates.</p><p>Maintain records of all releasing information in established databases.</p><p>Prepare answers to routine inquiries, answer phones, take clear, concise messages and provide customer service to patients and a wide range of personnel.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
