ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>About the Position:This position is located at Department of Surgery, William Beaumont Army Medical Center. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assist in compiling and maintaining a comprehensive database of all patients.</p><p>Set up, organize, input, and maintain patient data to ensure compliance with tumor registry standard operating policies and procedures, and to meet the needs of the users of registry data.</p><p>Perform and maintain quality assurance of case-finding, abstracting, staging, and coding of data and follow-up procedures.</p><p>Assist in developing and implementing administrative procedures and processes necessary to audit, identify and review confirmed cancer diagnoses.</p><p>Provide orientation of the Tumor Registry to health care providers, medical record students, new employees, and volunteers.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
