ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>About the Position: This is a Medical Records Administration Specialist position located at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Advise on and perform a wide range of technical and administrative duties involved in the development, analysis, maintenance and use of diagnostic and therapeutic cancer data.</p><p>Resolve complex operational issues by identifying root causes, proposing viable solutions, and initiating corrective action.</p><p>Coordinate efforts with other departments and prepare estimates of budget, staffing and equipment needs.</p><p>Advise leadership and staff on the correct interpretation and application of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) cancer program standards.</p><p>Prepare all correspondence required for the operation of the Tumor Registry.</p><p>Identify methods of utilizing registry data through patient care evaluation audits and special research studies.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
