<p>The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) assigned to the VA Portland Health Care System Specialty Care Clinics, under the Division of Hospital and Specialty Medicine, provides outpatient clinical services for the subspecialties such as Medicine, Surgery, and Neurology. Recruitment/Relocation Incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major duties: The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical/License Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) 6 is to perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, positive customer service and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran. The LPN/LVN also performs assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, outstanding customer service, and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran. The GS-6 LPN/LVN performs within this functional statement under guidance of the Nurse Manager or designee. Assigned tasks require basic technical competence and skill. The GS-6 LPN/LVN is expected to be able to function at the fully successful level for all key elements at the GS-5 Level. The GS-6 is a full performance functional level for the LPN/LVN occupation for providing practical nursing care with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems. Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. Possible hours of work are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, and 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM PST. The final schedule will be determined by the manager at the time of hire, considering service needs and applicant's input. Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
