Licensed Practical Nurse

<p>This is a Direct Hire Solicitation About the Position: This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center, Directorate of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Fort Bragg, NC. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Advanced leave accrual may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Pediatric nursing experience is preferred.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Greet and interview pediatric patients and their families on arrival in various clinics.</p><p>Record chief complaint of patient and documents brief history of problem.</p><p>Assign appointments using written triage guidelines: when urgency of care is uncertain, obtains further guidance from nurse/provider.</p><p>Collect and appropriately label specimens and tests.</p><p>Initiate, maintain and monitor IV fluids, regulates flow rate and monitors prescribed fluids.</p><p>Assists during procedure/exam using infection control practices to clean rooms and equipment.</p><p>Maintaining and updating patient medical records to document patient's progress.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
