<p>The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN), GS-7 performs more complex nursing assignments within their setting. The LPN/LVN possesses comprehensive practical nursing knowledge and skills in specialized procedures and practices. The LPN/LVN GS-7 work is of considerable difficulty and responsibility is performed under general supervision. This is accomplished through but not limited to modalities such as ambulation, bowel and bladder training, dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, range of motion exercises and fall prevention modalities. The Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), GS-7 in Primary Care (PC), provides skilled and individualized practical nursing care to all levels of patients including most complex patients who are acutely and/or chronically ill in the outpatient care setting. The PACT Team Licensed Practical Nurse at the GS-7 level has the knowledge and skills necessary for a concentrated effort and self-direction in carrying out the most complex practical nursing assignments. S/He completes assigned duties and responsibilities which involve performing non-standard specialized practical nursing activities which require broad work experience and demonstrated skill sufficient to resolve a wide range of nursing problems with minimal supervision. The PACT GS7 LPN, clinical associate position is located within a Patient Aligned Care Team in Primary Care Service, at Columbus ACC. The PACT LPN GS-7 has the knowledge and skills necessary for self-direction in carrying out simple to the most complex practical nursing care. The incumbent serves as a member of a health care team/ team let in Primary Care. In organizing and delivering care, the PACT GS7 LPN recognizes and considers emotional, cultural, spiritual, and age-related factors. The PACT GS7 LPN completes work of considerable difficulty and responsibility and is performed under general supervision. The incumbent is accountable for all patient care given and functions within the LPN scope of practice as it relates to Primary Care polices. The incumbent is involved in frontline patient check in, clinic flow, patient education and preparedness for optimal acceptance of healthcare delivery by the provider. Work Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 0645-1715. Compressed/Flexible: Available Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not authorized. Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not authorized.
