<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Ketamine Infusion Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to veterans in the programs and would need skills in psychosocial assessment, individual and family psychoeducation, psychosocial interventions, case management, crisis intervention, and group skills. They will provide assistance in the performance of complex procedures, monitoring the cases, and provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team as appropriate. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Asses, plan, implement, and evaluate Veteran care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Provide Veteran care while considering all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stages, state of health, race, and culture, values, and previous experiences. Demonstrate knowledge in the application of recovery principles when coordinating Veteran care interventions. Demonstrate competency in utilizing therapeutic communication skills. Demonstrate competence in using Veteran-centered approach in his/her role for providing procedural care within Ketamine Infusion Clinic including staff education and patient care interventions to interdisciplinary team. Participate with coordination of care through partnership with interdisciplinary teams within Mental Health Service providing care for patients with mental health problems. Provide leadership the application of recovery principles. Other duties as assigned. Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing/supervising direct care for Veterans.
