<p>The incumbent serves as a Dietitian (informatics) at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center is a 1a-High Complexity Facility, that serves over 67,000 unique patients and has 13 off site community clinics, in addition to the homeless team, the community based extended care programs and a 50 bed Domiciliary.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Uses available technology to enhance the work of all employees within NFS. Enter and maintains ingredients, recipes, nutritional information and menus temperature control. Leads a menu committee. Ensures recipes are standardized. Creates and revises menus, considering VA established guidelines, policy, patient preference, and religious and cultural considerations. Develops and maintains training and reference materials for the Nutrition Communication Center (NCC). Coordinates and supports downtime procedures for the NCC, ensuring procedures remain up to date. Completes clinical duties as assigned. Collaborates with the Clinical Nutrition Section and Food Operations Section and department leadership to enhance the Veterans' dining experience, support patient satisfaction and serve as a liaison between clinical units and Food Operation Section. Supports patient satisfaction within NFS. Leads activities in the implementation of new initiatives. Acts as a department Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC) between administration, food services, clinical staff, and the Office of Information Technology (OI&T) regarding clinical information system processes.
