Dietitian (Clinical)

<p>The Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System seeks a Clinical Dietitian in Nutrition & Food Service to coordinate Veterans' nutritional care with healthcare teams, Veterans, caregivers, and the community.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Include but are not limited to: Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) Performs Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) to assess malnutrition risk and severity Collaborates with foodservice staff to ensure diet accuracy Provides individualized and group nutrition education and counseling Uses virtual tools like VA Video Connect (VVC) and Secure Messaging (SM) to enhance access Assists in planning and educating patients on home nutrition support Maintains accurate documentation of clinical activities and patient encounters via Event Capture System (ECS) Participates in peer reviews Engages in community outreach as needed Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Compressed/Flexible: Not authorized. Telework: Position is approved Ad-Hoc Telework. This is determined by the Service Manager. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
