Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

<p>About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Quantico Resource Management Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform GI and contrast procedures.</p><p>Prepare imaging suites.</p><p>Prepare and administer contrast under physician supervision.</p><p>Assist radiologists during procedures.</p><p>Perform diagnostic radiography.</p><p>Review histories, explain procedures, position patients, and select proper technical factors.</p><p>Operate imaging systems: Use digital imaging, PACS, portable X ray, C arm, and O arm intraoperative CT equipment.</p><p>Operate imaging systems: Use digital imaging, PACS, portable X ray, C arm, and O arm intraoperative CT equipment.</p><p>Perform quality control review.</p><p>Maintain departmental records.</p><p>Assist technologists with difficult exams and deliver educational sessions.</p><p>Schedule exams, explain instructions, consult radiologists on unusual requests, and help with reception/file room tasks.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
