ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Diagnostic Radiologic Tech provides guidance, instruction, maintenance, and troubleshooting services in the day-to-day operations of the Radiology Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), Voice Recognition (VR), Vista Imaging interface, Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the radiology package. The Diagnostic Radiologic Tech is responsible for support of all diagnostic imaging modalities at GCVHCS.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties: Research and or/analyzes problems, issues, or program requirements supporting the functions of a digital imaging system. Performs Vista Radiology, Cerner, and P ACS support activities and general ADP AC duties within Imaging Service and coordinates support throughout the GCVHCS and with teleradiology services. Distributes workload to teleradiology services and in-house radiologists as needed under the guidance and direction of the service chief. Monitors and performs a variety of Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions according to service policies within Imaging Service. Performs daily imaging system performance checks and identifies outliers/malfunctions and initiates work orders/corrective actions to address problems. Performs troubleshooting for equipment malfunctions and reports deficiencies to supervisor. Reviews Radiology incomplete exam list daily. Designs and maintains a quality control program for digital radiographic images to include, but not necessarily be restricted to, evaluation of image quality from modality to viewing monitor. Assists the Imaging Manager in assessment and procurement of new equipment. Identifies problems, gathers data, performs analysis, and proposes solutions to problems and barriers to establishment of an efficient, cost-effective filmless radiology environment. Performs duties of a radiology ADP AC including user access control. Complies with all system and personnel security requirements. Provides timely reports as needed to other services, workgroups, credentialing department and committees. Monitors and presents Quality Assurance data to the services chief, supervisors and other stakeholders as needed. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
