Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (MRI)

<p>About the Position: This is a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (MRI) at Guthrie Army Health Clinic, Ft. Drum, New York. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Conduct complex 3D and 2D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body, ensuring precise image acquisition for diagnostic purposes.</p><p>Instruct patients on procedure methods, safety precautions, and risks to having an MRI</p><p>Start intravenous lines (IV) for patients who need them for their specific test.</p><p>Perform preventative maintenance ensuring equipment is operating correctly.</p><p>Operate film processing and duplication machines</p><p>Monitor equipment performance to address malfunctions, make minor adjustments</p><p>Identify and correct image artifacts to ensure quality images are produced.</p><p>Collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for both standard and complex cases.</p><p>Provide images to radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.</p><p>Train other staff in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
