Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Mammography)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Explain methods and procedures to patients in order to answer questions and alleviate concerns.</p><p>Determine the condition at issue and the procedures and equipment to best meet the needs of the individual case.</p><p>Perform full range of mammography procedures in order to give instructions and guidance on difficult operations.</p><p>Maintain quality assurance tests on mammography equipment and laser printers per department regulations.</p><p>Perform radiological examinations using special techniques, which includes adjusting equipment parameters to take into consideration physical differences in patients.</p><p>Assist the supervisor in developing quality control procedures as needs arise.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
