Diagnostic Radiologic Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. This position requires rotational shift work to include holidays, weekends and on call as needed. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform a variety of complex and difficult radiographic examinations.</p><p>Review requests from physicians and other healthcare providers for examinations.</p><p>Explain procedures to patient and/or family.</p><p>Administer oral and intravenous contrast material in accordance with universal precautions.</p><p>Position equipment and patient for optimal imaging.</p><p>Ensure supplies are in adequate stock for the department.</p><p>Provide assistance with on-the -job-training of new employees and student personnel.</p><p>Develop and process radiographs.</p><p>Perform daily preventative maintenance procedures on the radiographic/ fluoroscopic imaging equipment and report malfunctioning timely.</p><p>Enter data regarding patient history/ radiographic procedures into service data \bvase.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
