Dental Laboratory Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Dental at Schofield Barracks, HI. The Clinic is a tobacco free workplace. Tobacco products include, but not limited to smoking, smokeless tobacco and electronic nicotine delivery devices. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as laboratory technician in a dental clinic.</p><p>Perform the full range of technical work in the fabrication and repair of fixed prostheses and models.</p><p>Read, interpret, and apply requirements described in the dental prescription, designs and fabricates metal substructures for both porcelain and acrylic veneers.</p><p>Design and fabricate Flexible Removable Partials and Implant Retain acrylic dentures.</p><p>Prepare orthodontic set ups and fabricates other appliances such as night guards, splints, stents, sleep apnea devices, and tooth position devices.</p><p>Provide technical assistance, monitor work assignments, and inspect completed work to dental laboratory staff.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
