Dental Laboratory Technician

<p>About the Position: This position is located at 96TH Medical Group, Eglin AFB, Florida. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Participate in the design and fabrication of very complex dental prostheses or intra-oral maxillofacial appliances in support of oral surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, general dentists and medical specialists.</p><p>Accurately develop precise occlusion, form, and color to match porcelain and/or acrylic restorations to natural tissue and dentition.</p><p>Construct special dentures for severely tilted or mal-opposed teeth.</p><p>Check for correct occlusion of prostheses by mounting on articulators.</p><p>Resolve technical problems with unusually close tolerances, retention, and balance on natural teeth and tissue.</p><p>Fabricate working and master dies, physically or digitally.</p><p>Conduct classroom and laboratory instruction for dental laboratory technicians at lower grades.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
